Winter Wonderland was the theme for a simple appreciation evening consisting of performances and hors d'oeuvres. Since the motivation was to "give back and show thanks" rather than fundraising, I was asked to turn the space into a winter wonderland on a very tight budget.
The result was a 1400sqft space with walls covered in paper snowflakes and tables with fresh pine and silver tipped tree branches. Paper with different textures, weights, and transparency was used to create the illusion of depth among many layers of white. Overall, with many hours of paper cutting, forest walking, and IKEA light hacking later, the guests could feel the warmth of our efforts during this cold winter.
Photos from the event can be found here and a bit of process here.
