Batawa Development Project

The Batawa Project is a nine-week collaborative effort between Carleton University and the Batawa Development Corporation focusing on generating designs to revitalize Batawa’s community.

The project focused on an existing play area known as the Dino Dig. Submerged in a box of sand is an artificial fossil of “Walter the Dinosaur” with the intention for individuals to learn about both the life of dinosaurs and archaeologists. Both education and play were important values to keep in mind for this project.
