This project began with a worn out children’s xylophone piano toy at a secondhand shop that was re-envisioned for a charity silent auction. The theme was to revitalize or redefine a product that had been abandoned by its owner. Months later, the toy xylophone-turned-piano was redesigned again and produced as a jewellery box for Umbra during a summer internship.
This product has been in production since 2011 and can be found here.

Throughout the internship, I assisted in concept development and product line extension, as well as sketching, prototyping and presenting concepts to inter-departmental open crits. Product development was refined through CAD and technical drawings for production.
